4 Healthy Fats That Increase Mindful Eating

A new research study out of Italy has shown that the ability to manage your weight may be all in your head – well, your brain actually.

The study (which was conducted in rats) found that subjects who ate a diet high in saturated fats like butter had a harder time controlling what they ate while subjects who consumed healthier fats like olive oil and avocado had a different brain response and did not overeat.

Not much research has been done about the effect of fat consumption on the brain, but these results suggest that having more awareness and consuming healthier fats may help fight obesity and related metabolic system diseases.

If you are trying to drop a few pounds, steer clear of saturated fats and try these better-for-you fat options.
